Second Galicia-Norte Portugal Euroregion ‘Resilient Borders’ Participatory Session

On September 12th, the Galicia-Norte Portugal Euroregion EGTC held its second Participatory Session at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, bringing together key stakeholders in cross-border cooperation.

The aim of the meeting was to gather directly the opinions, ideas and suggestions of participants from Norte Portugal on cross-border cooperation projects and initiatives.

With the active participation of these stakeholders, it was possible to take another step forward in building a common, sustainable Strategy aligned with the reality of the Galicia-Norte Portugal Euroregion, strengthening cross border cooperation ties between both territories.

In order to ease participation, the first session was held in Galicia and this second one in Norte Portugal.  Many proposals and suggestions were very similar, while in some areas there were more differences.

The initiative is part of the "Galicia Norte Portugal Strategic Cross-Border Planning" project, developed within the framework of "Resilient Borders" initiative, whose purpose is to strengthen multi-level governance and foster joint spatial planning between Galicia and Norte Portugal.
