The organisers of #ICT2018 have prepared a series of questions to measure participants’ opinions on the implications of AI in society.
Willing to compare the results obtained during the conference with the views of a specialised community of stakeholders, they invite the members of the AI Alliance to answer first.
The results will be presented during the “Artificial Intelligence – the European way” panel, setting a basis for the following discussion.
Please take 2 minutes to answer here.

Thank you very much for taking time to participaate in the survey!
For those who didn't yet, I remind you that it takes just two minutes to reply to 4 simple questions.
It would be very interesting to could compaire the views of this group with those of the general public in#ICT2018!

Hello all,
its always good to do some opinion collection, but I agree with Keith, the objective of this survey is not clear and the way of asking is very generic and fuzzy. I am wondering what value these results should bring up. Sorry to say, but this looks more like a Sunday yellow press questionnaire ...

In reply to Hello all, by Christian RUSS
Dear Christian,
That is a pertinent remark, and the objective of this survey should in fact go beyond the mere collection of answers but towards the creation of a discussion forum, as the one we are also having here. Note that the ICT panel, by nature, does not allow for a discussion as deep and delineated as the discussions we can have on the European AI Alliance forum, and we certainly agree that it is the latter which we should be striving for.
Of course, we need to consider a large number of aspects in order to define such discussions, and the numerous contributions, provided in this group are helping with that. The question of the AI Hype has already been mentioned in previous conversations as well. It would be valuable to have a more constructive exchange on the various factors contributing to that. We could start by wondering about the right communication to a more informed approach of AI in society.
Thanking you for providing your ideas and expertise in this regard, and please don't hesitate for further suggestions. As mentioned – perhaps we should open a new forum discussion precisely on this issue.

Dear Keith,
Thank you for your comment. Your objections will be communicated to the panel.
I would like to clarify that the purpose of this survey was not to measure "all opinions on the implications of AI in society" but to involve the members of this group in a discussion on the various aspects of these implications, as treated during the event.
Kind regards,
