The Commission's recent policy programme, A Path to the Digital Decade, is a plan to achieve the digital transformation in Europe by 2030 through concrete milestones and goals in digital infrastructure, the digitalisation of business, digital skills & digital public services. 

Multi-country projects act as an instrument to pool together resources and efforts to achieve the targets in specific areas. 

Genomics are a key area of Multi-country projects. European countries and partners are coming together to advance genome sequencing and to make sequenced genomes accessible in the EU.
