The European Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, will host a matchmaking event on 6 September, 10:00-11:45 CEST, dedicated to supporting Ukraine in applying for Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Digital funding under the upcoming call for Digital Global Gateways (expected to open in mid-October 2022).  

The event will provide an overview of the call for Digital Global Gateways and will highlight the opportunities for cross-border cooperation to finance redundant backhaul connections between the EU and Ukraine. The event will bring together Ukrainian and EU stakeholders to discuss practical aspects of the call, with the aim of helping them make connections to prepare submissions.  

Participants will include: 

• Telecommunication and technology companies 

• European networks, associations and representative bodies 

• Broadband Competence Offices 

• Representatives of the European Institutions
