On 8 April, European and Ukrainian telecom operators signed a Joint Statement, facilitated by the European Commission and the European Parliament, to allow Ukrainian refugees to use their mobile phones with no, or only low, roaming charges during three months. This three month period has now expires, and the Commission is encouraging operators to maintain their voluntary commitments.
