New solutions are needed to overcome legal and administrative obstacles hampering cross-border cooperation.

With this aim, the Commission has presented a proposal for a "mechanism to resolve legal and administrative obstacles in a cross-border context" COM(2018)373 - the so called European cross-border mechanism (ECBM). This builds on the work developed by a Working Group with the participation of diverse member states, over the past years.
