The July 2024 edition of the European SME Week Newsletter comes to you as preparations are well underway for the SME Assembly 2024 which will take place in Budapest, Hungary between 18-20 November. We also update you on the publication of the SME Performance Review’s Annual Report on European SMEs – a key metric used by the EU to monitor and assess how countries are implementing European SME policies.
The Youth Start-Up Competition (YSC) is open for applications! The YSC is the perfect opportunity for young visionaries aged between 18 and 25 to showcase their innovative ideas, tackling global issues whilst emphasising sustainability and EU values. You can find out more about the YSC here.
With the SME Assembly in Budapest growing ever closer, we will also cover progress on a highlight event of the Assembly – the prestigious Schumpeter ‘Innovation in Enterprise’ lecture, to be delivered by Johan Wiklund, Swedish professor of Entrepreneurship.
The SME Assembly will also be the scene of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) ceremony, showcasing prime examples of entrepreneurship promotion from across Europe. Delve into the winners of Germany’s national competition - two brilliant initiatives that will represent the country at the EU-level competition in Budapest.
