From Europe to local: building a local community of practice

-

Communities of Practice focused on climate change are organised groups of people who share a common interest and want to coordinate efforts towards achieving shared goals. Through sharing knowledge, learning from each other, improving skills, and advancing general knowledge, climate-focused practice communities are seen as conducive to the development, scale-up and transferability of innovative and creative practices.

In this session, Laure-Emilie Angevin, Director of Climate and Ecological Transformation at Centre-Val de Loire region, will present their successful and inspiring experience on their first regional energy-climate Community of Practice launched in 2019. This community aimed to unite various actors (citizens, businesses, local authorities, etc.) in the ecological transition and create the necessary synergy for building a sustainable future.

A hands-on exercise is included to apply theoretical knowledge to imaginary scenarios, by addressing two key questions essential for establishing a successful Community of Practice (CoP).
