How can we find ‘unusual allies’ by involving citizens in adaptation planning through the use of arts, sports, and culture? In this session, we will share several examples of ‘unconventional’ methods of engaging citizens and raising awareness of climate change, and will show how these tools can be applied in practice.
The session will include different experience sharings from Tiarnan McCusker from Galway city presenting the Climate Festival, Stefanie Geiter from KLIMABÜNDNIS presenting the Climate City Walk in Graz City, Rogelio Bonilla from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Énergie Environnement presenting the ClimaSTORY tool, and Gustavo Chiquin and Nicola Vuolo presenting The Nettuniani innovation, winner of the EU Sparks for Climate hackathon.
