Dear members of the AI Alliance,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the first European AI Alliance Assembly, taking place in Brussels on 26 June 2019.
Marking one year since the creation of the European AI Alliance, the Assembly will bring together stakeholders, including citizens, and policymakers during a full day event. The aim is to discuss the latest achievements in AI policy as well as future perspectives of the European Strategy on Artificial Intelligence, including its impact on the economy and society.
During the event, the High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI HLEG), which is the AI Alliance’s steering group, will present two important milestones of its work:
- the Policy and Investment Recommendations on AI, addressed to the European Commission and Member States
- the Launch the piloting process of the AI Ethics Guidelines presented during the Digital Day 2019
The second part of the day will allow participants to take part in interactive workshops on the next steps of the European AI Strategy. The workshop discussions will serve as an input to future policy making.

Nice...would it still be possible to contribute a talk/panel/workshop? We would offer to discuss the potential of arts and culture for a faster and more ethically aligned adoption of AI in broad society (e.g. Estonia and their "Kratt Law". The integration of artistic perspectives is expected to create more inspired, more accessible, and more trustworthy AI. This approach is promoted by the EU's STARTS initiative but it is hardly neglected in most national AI strategies.

a small correction: Kratt belongs to Estonian folklore...
( not every great idea come from Finland )

Hello Max! This is a very nice idea and thank you very much for your suggestion. The truth is that the agenda has been more or less defined, based on the topics that where mostly discussed in the AI Alliance, during the last year. You will see however in the programme that we will have four break-out sessions where interactive discussions will take place. I am sure there will be occasions to include thoughts on arts and culture in AI during these sessions.
