On 4 May 2023, the Trade and Technology Dialogue (TTD) invites you to join representatives from the EU and the United States for an online stakeholder meeting to discuss possible transatlantic cooperation on digital initiatives to enhance trade. The event is organised under auspices of the Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Working Group 10 – Global Trade Challenges.
During this workshop, the European Commission and the U.S. Government will provide a short update of the ongoing exploratory work of how digital technology can be used to simplify trade-related activities. This will be followed by brief interventions of a few selected EU and U.S.-based stakeholders and a moderated discussion with all participants. Purposes are to seek initial views of stakeholders on how digital technology can be used to make trading easier and ways in which the EU and the United States could potentially co-operate further towards best practices or compatibility of digital tools.
