How to visit and explore the Trade and Technology Council Community?

How to get involved actively in the Trade and Technology Council Community?

You can also engage actively in the TTC Community on Futurium by posting content in one of its ten Working Groups.

To do so, you must first enroll in the Futurium platform with an EU Login account. Once this is done, you can request a membership to one or multiple Working Groups of your interest in the TTC Community. 

Here are the steps to take if you want to join and actively participate in the exciting transatlantic debate! 

Step 1: Create a Futurium account 

1. Go to https://futurium.ec.europa.eu/en/EU-US-TTC. The site is open to the public.  
2. Click on the yellow "Log in" button to register to Futurium with your EU log-in; or
3. Click on the yellow "Log in" button to enter your Futurium account if you have created one already.

If you do not have an EU Login account yet: 

1. Click on the Login button. You will be directed to the EU Login page. This is the European Commission's single user authentication service.   
2. Create an EU Login account. Fill in your First name, Last name, E-mail, etc.  
3. Click on “Create an account”. You will receive an email to complete the registration process. 
4. Click on the link in the email to confirm your account (within a maximum timeframe of 24 hours).  
5. Set your password. 
6. You are now logged in to EU Login. 
7. Return to the Futurium platform and click on the Login button at the top right corner of the page. 
8. Accept the Futurium user agreement.  

If you already have an EU Login account: 

1. Click on the Login button. You will be directed to the EU login page.
2. Enter your email address and password.
3. Accept the Futurium user agreement.  

Step 2: Join the TTC Community subgroups

1. Several subgroups are accessible on the home page that correspond to the TTC Working Groups. You can join one or more subgroups based on your organisation's interests and expertise. 

3. Click on the subgroup you would like to join and on the "Request Membership" button. 

4. Per subgroup you will be required to fill in the web form and agree to the Community's terms of service. 

5. Click “submit”.

6. Once validated, you will have access to the subgroup and will be able to post input. 

Step 4: Post position papers in Documents section

1. Go to the "Documents" section in the top menu of the relevant subgroup. 

2. Click on the yellow “Add Post” button. 

3. Enter the title of your documents and an accompanying cover text.   

4. Attach documents by clicking on the "Document" and "Add new document" buttons.

5. You can add a tag to your posts so that others can find them more easily. 

Step 5: Manage your notification settings 

1. Click on “My account” at the top right corner of the page (next to “Log out”).  

2. Navigate to “Notifications Settings”. 

3. Make sure that “Email subscriptions” is checked. 

4. Set your preferred notification frequency for the Trade and Technology Council Community.  

You are now all set for your active participation in the Trade and Technology Council Community!
