Transatlantic Initiative on Sustainable Trade (TIST) Stakeholder Engagement Event — Summary Report

In May 2023, at its 4th ministerial meeting, the EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council (TTC) agreed on a work programme for the Transatlantic Initiative on Sustainable Trade (TIST). Amongst other actions, the TIST work programme commits the European Union (EU) and the United States (U.S.) to organise a comprehensive stakeholder event to garner views on how to promote a more integrated and resilient transatlantic green marketplace.

The event 'Crafting the Transatlantic Green Marketplace' of 31 January 2024 brought together representatives of EU and U.S. stakeholder constituencies to engage in a series of thematic discussions focused on identifying opportunities for transatlantic collaboration to promote the transition to a more sustainable and climate-neutral economy on both sides of the Atlantic in a mutually supportive way.

This report comprises summaries of all thematic sessions, each complemented by a list of key suggestions by the stakeholders.
