The week hosted 10 sessions build around DG CONNECT initiatives, keeping the core topic of platforms at the centre whilst dipping into other relevant actions as well. It attracted more than 3300 online attendants, interested in what online platforms have had a profound impact on both the economy and European society
The topic on its own is quite complex, requiring its fullest attention due to the large importance it has in our daily lives.
However, joined by partners from the Commission, institutions, private sector, and academia we are 1 step closer into getting a broader understanding what the status quo is, and what is being done policy-wise to adress it.
Not only will this help EU policymakers to better develop comprehensive policies that address existing challenges, but the feedback received during the week provided good insights into what topics could be tackled in the future.
