Welcome to the Working Group 2 - Climate and Clean Tech!
Thank you for your interest in this Community, which is part of the larger EU-US Trade and Technology Council Community on Futurium. This community was a virtual space for businesses, public authorities, innovators, researchers, civil society, and policymakers to shape the EU and US discussions in the Trade and Technology Council during the period 2021-2024.
The Trade and Technology Council was set up at the June 2021 EU-US summit and served as a forum for the European Union and the United States to coordinate approaches to key global trade, economic, and technology issues and to deepen transatlantic trade and economic relations based on shared democratic values between 2021-2024.
Given the great importance of technology to address environmental challenges and connected market opportunities, the Climate and Clean Tech working group was tasked to identify opportunities, measures and incentives to support technology development, transatlantic trade and investment in climate neutral technologies, products and services, including collaboration in third countries, research and innovation, and to jointly explore the methodologies, tools, and technologies for calculating embedded Greenhouse Gas emissions in global trade.
The TTC Futurium Working Group 2 subgroup served to engage with stakeholders to support the collaboration under the TTC. As this cooperation format is no longer active, this Community will be closed as of 30 September 2026.
