IIASA’s "National Policy Explorer” is a science dissemination and communication web-based tool building upon established web-based climate services frameworks developed by IIASA, including the IIASA Scenario Explorer Framework, Hotspots Explorer and Climate Solutions Explorer. This tool provides insights into national energy transitions, interactive spatial data visualization, dashboards and data hosting of modelling results. The scenario explorer can be used by national and global teams to store, validate, visualise and compare their scenarios.

Regional & National Dashboards enable deep-dive interrogation of the data for specific geographic contexts, whilst user-customized dashboards facilitate comparison across scenarios, regions and topics. “Story” articles are also provided, which bring together, in accessible online policy-brief style, expert narratives accompanied by imagery and interactive figures and maps.

All data on the platforms is open access, for download and via public API.
