Launch of the new cross-border data collection project

We are excited to announce the launch of a new project, commissioned by DG REGIO, aimed at improving the understanding and collection of cross-border commuters data across the EU. Over the next 18 months, a consortium led by ÖIR GmbH, in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands and supported by INSEE and Statistics Denmark, will work to identify and assess existing administrative data from multiple Member States. The project will explore the obstacles faced in cross-border data collection and develop a methodology for a pan-European production of comparable data.

To ensure the success of this initiative, we are calling for participation in our  Advisory Board. Advisory Board members will provide valuable insights and guidance on the developed methodology throughout the project. If you are a data user or producer involved in cross-border issues, take this opportunity to actively participate!

In addition, we invite cross-border practitioners and organizations to engage with us on this platform. We look forward to sharing project updates and key findings as they emerge.

If you are interested in joining the Advisory board or have any suggestions, please let us know. Your expertise and input are crucial to making this project a success!
