About us

The European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud brings together businesses, Member States’ representatives and relevant experts to jointly define strategic investment roadmaps enabling the next generation of highly secure, distributed, interoperable, and resource-efficient computing technologies. In addition, the Alliance serves as a platform for exchange on issues of cloud governance, e.g. relating to the public procurement of cloud services. 

The Cloud-Edge Working Group (WG) brings together the main European Industry players in cloud computing to identify investments for the joint development and deployment of the next generation of EU cloud and edge technologies that meet the needs of European businesses. The work is facilitated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT).

The Working Group is Chaired by OpenNebula Systems and Co-Chaired by TNO and Arthur's Legal.
