Public consultation on the future of transport - EU Strategy for a Sustainable and Smart Mobility

As part of the European Green Deal framework, the Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) is working on a comprehensive strategy for Sustainable and Smart Mobility.

A key objective of the European Green deal package includes reduction of transport-related greenhouse gas emissions in order to support the EU’s aim to become the first climate neutral continent by 2050.

The Strategy will set a pathway towards the future of Europe’s mobility and its transport sector – combining the twin green and digital transitions, building a resilient and crisis-proof transport system for future generations. At same time, it also aims the provision of more affordable, accessible, healthier and cleaner transport alternatives and contribute to mitigating the impact of transport on our natural environment, including by reducing air, water and noise pollution.

As a citizen and/or stakeholder, you have opportunity to share your views and comments on the Europe’s mobility strategy!

How? By responding to the PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORT, available here at “Have your say platform”.

The consultation will be open until 23 September(midnight Brussels time). Replies can be made in any of the 24 official EU languages and will be accessible via the Commission's central public consultations page and DG MOVE website.
