Meet the speakers for the 18th Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate: Roland Wolff

Introducing the EMRLingua project collaborator Roland Wolff to our line-up of speakers for the 18th Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate. Roland's journey crosses borders, bringing a unique perspective to our discussion.

Originally from Aachen, Germany, Roland has lived in Belgium for over 30 years. His educational path took him to German-speaking eastern Belgium, where he delved into modern languages and communication studies. He then pursued his passion for Romance languages and literature, studying in Namur and Liège.

Roland's extensive cross-border experience shines through in his involvement in Interreg projects. His journey began with Terra Mosana, a project working to increase the attractiveness of the Meuse-Rhine Euregio (MRE) to tourists and promote a shared regional identity through the digital promotion of cultural heritage.

In addition, Roland played a key role in establishing the EMRLingua regional coordination centre, with a focus on promoting neighbouring languages (German, French and Dutch) and fostering intercultural skills across borders.
