The Institute for Transnational and Euregional Cross-Border Cooperation and Mobility (ITEM) has released its 2023 Assessment on the impact of cross-border cooperation. The assessment consists of 6 dossiers analyzing a variety of cross-border related topics, applying a common methodology. 

Dossier 2:Transnational Infrastructure projects: Ambitions, sectors, instruments and effect on border regions examines joint infrastructure plans in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium aimed at addressing energy transition and economic competitiveness. Notably, it analyzes the complex dynamics of transnational projects like the Delta Rhine Corridor and others, investigating their potential impacts on Dutch/German and Dutch/Belgian border regions, highlighting the inherent uncertainty in assessing early-stage infrastructure projects.
