dataspace

Some sectorial dataspaces are already developed and run by private stakeholders without any public involvement (e.g. the travel and mobility dataspace led by Amadeus, Air France, SNCF and Paris airports). The EDIC will be run by the members states. How to reconcile the two approaches ?

Dear Clement,

Thank you for your questions. It is up to Member States to identify which sectorial dataspace they would like to support and if it is strategically relevant to get involved or even take lead. The Commission proposal on EDICs, including the rules for membership, are currently still under discussion with the EP and the Council.

I hope this answers your question,

Lavinia

Good afternoon,

There are some initiatives around Dataspaces, and I was wondering if there is any UE Guidelines to facilitate the management of being part of an existing Dataspace, that is relevant to the project.  This Amadeus Dataspace can be a good example. If I want to be part of this Dataspace, is there any specific action, contact, etc provided/recommended by the EU?

Thanks a lot,
