MIP4Adapt Enhances Technical Assistance and Introduces Revised Eligibility Criteria

Responding to demand from our Charter Signatories, those with 20,000 inhabitants or more are now eligible for support. The decision was made to reduce the threshold from 50,000 to maximise the number of citizens benefitting from the Technical Assistance.

MIP4Adapt’s Technical Assistance provides Charter Signatories with tailored technical support in their adaptation pathway planning and implementation.

Since its launch in 2023, the programme has received 76 applications, with 32 regions having started their support.

"Through the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, we have received good coaching from the Technical Assistance delivery team to help us develop our climate adaptation strategy. They guide us on the tools we should use in our implementation of the strategy. I have never experienced anything as fast and effective as the Mission Commitment!" – Poppy Kalesi, Rogaland region (Norway).

Applications from Charter Signatories are welcome throughout the programme, with periodic cut-off dates to review applications.

If you are a Charter Signatory, log in to the online EU Mission Adaptation Community for more information on the support available and the application process. If you have any questions, reach out to the Helpdesk. Learn more about the Technical Assistance programme on the Mission Portal.
