The European Parliament and the European Council reach important agreement in efforts towards the digital Single Market!

The two highest political bodies in the EU have just reached an agreement on the Interoperable Europe Act! The act seeks to substantially strengthen cooperation and interoperability in the public sector across borders by eliminating several of the limitations present in the European Interoperability Framework (EIF).  

With overwhelming support from member states and citizens (during the 2022 Conference on the Future of Europe)  the better interoperability of public services through cross border cooperation is certainly a topic that needed interventions and this latest agreement comes at the right time. The agreement is primarily targeting the automatic digital exchange of information and data between different national authorities which will enable cross border services for the citizens of EU.
