Andreea China is a research and policy manager at ESPON, with a PhD in architecture and a background in spatial and regional planning. Over the years, she has gained significant experience in territorial and regional development, working closely with local, regional and national authorities in Romania, Moldova and other countries.

Since 2020, Andreea has been part of the ESPON 2030 programme, where she has coordinated and implemented various research activities, including in the area of cross-border cooperation. She led the update of the ESPON Cross-border Public Services 2.0 (CPS 2.0) study and is currently overseeing the ESPON CROSSGOV study, which focuses on governance mechanisms for cross-border functional areas.

At the 21st Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate, Andreea will discuss ESPON's cross-border data requirements and share her expectations of the ACROSS Data Hub as a potential user of the platform.
