Reference Sites were one of the main pillars of the EIP on AHA community, and the main driver behind the development of EIP on AHA’s innovative practices. Currently they are organized around the Reference Sites Collaborative Network, or RSCN (http://www.rscn.eu/), and are a crucial partner for other projects such as the IN-4-AHA (https://innovation4ageing.tehnopol.ee/) . They are inspirational ecosystems, delivering creative and workable solutions that improve the lives and health of older people and the whole community.
Reference Sites are regions, cities, integrated hospitals or care organisations and their quadruple helix partners from industry, civil society, academia and government authorities that focus on a comprehensive, innovation-based approach to active and healthy ageing. They offer concrete examples of their positive impact in this field.
In the 2019 Call for Reference Sites, 103 regional and local organisations were awarded Reference Site status. The full list can be downloaded below.
Reference Sites have developed and shared more than 200 innovative and good practices in the field of digital transformation of health and care. These used to be publicly available in the EIP on AHA Repository of Innovative Practices, but now can be accessed in catalogue form in the attachment below.
