EEPA 2025 has been launched!

The 2025 edition of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) competition has officially launched! The annual search for Europe’s most successful promoters of enterprise and entrepreneurship is now underway.

Winners of the 2024 European Entrepreneurship Promotion Awards

“The award is not just recognition – it opens doors to new collaborations, partnerships, and opportunities for growth and development,” Dr. Indira Popadic, business consultant and mentor from OsnaŽene (Serbia), reflected on their experience of winning an EEPA in 2024.

The EEPA celebrate exemplary entrepreneurship policies and practices, creates a greater awareness of the role entrepreneurs play in society, and encourage and inspire future entrepreneurs and those who promote them. The contest consists of two phases: a national competition that selects candidates for the European-level stage, followed by the final international round.

There are 6 categories within the awards:

  • Improving the Business Environment and Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills
  • Supporting the Digital Transition
  • Supporting the Internationalisation of Business
  • Supporting the Sustainable Transition
  • Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship

Moreover, the Grand Jury Prize will be awarded to the most innovative and inspiring entry.

The competition will reach its finale at the prestigious awards ceremony held during the SME Assembly - Europe's most significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This year, the Assembly will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 10 - 12 November, during which all the national winners entering the European stage of the competition are invited to attend.

As a key highlight of the Assembly, the ceremony features live performances and celebrates the highest levels of innovation. Watch our EEPA 2024 highlights video for a taste of what to expect.

Here is the advice from Jenny Giannopoulou, Communications & Press Manager from Municipality of Tilos (Greece), winners of last year's prestigious Grand Jury Prize: “Embrace your uniqueness: highlight what sets you apart and clearly communicate your project’s value. Focus on sustainability and social impact: show how your efforts go beyond profit and truly benefit society and the environment. Foster collaboration and community: demonstrate that your initiative thrives on partnerships, knowledge exchange, and collective efforts. By doing this, you’ll stand out and inspire others while strengthening your impact.”
