Following a series of actions from many institutional stakeholders over the past 8 years, MEP Sandro Gozi presented the proposal on the Border Regions’ Instrument for Development and Growth in the EU (BRIDGEU) to the European Parliament on the 13th of September. During the plenary other MEPs had the opportunity to discuss the importance of the new proposal with the vast majority commenting on its positive effects and requesting the swift continuation of the efforts from the EU commission in order to further eliminate administrative and legal barriers in cross border regions.
