Meet the speakers for the 19th Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate: Paolo Dileno

Introducing our first speaker for the 19th Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate, Paolo Dileno! Paolo will bring invaluable insights gathered from his wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of EU-funded projects.

Originally from Italy, Paolo graduated in Political Science from the University of Trieste, with a focus on international studies. His impressive career spans more than 23 years, during which time he has specialised in Cohesion Policy. Paolo has dedicated his experience to assisting local, regional and national authorities in the design, implementation and reporting of projects and programmes funded by the European Union through the Structural and Investment Funds, such as ERDF, ESF and EAFRD.

Since 2017, Paolo has worked as project manager in the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI-ES) in Trieste. His role involves coordinating and implementing transnational and cross-border projects funded by the EU with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility solutions for passengers and goods. Paolo's extensive knowledge of EU-funded regional, cross-border and transnational cooperation mechanisms underpins his work, making him a key figure in driving forward sustainable mobility initiatives.
