Joint final conference of the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub (RECAH) and the Energy Communities Repository (ECR)

Éire

For the past two years, the ECR and the RECAH have been resolutely committed to supporting energy communities in their journey.

Energy communities are one of the key elements for achieving the EU’s energy transition: By 2050, half of Europe’s citizens could be producing up to 50% of the EU’s renewable energy.

This joint closing conference is our opportunity to discuss the main outcomes of these initiatives with energy community practitioners such as yourself and to provide, one more time, a platform for exchange with fellow communities and other experts on the subject.

The event will display inspirational examples from energy communities that have received technical assistance under the ECR or RECAH project, testimonies, and experiences from identified best practices and explore enabling technical, regulatory and economic conditions for a consumer-centric market design.

You will also find out more about the projects’ outcomes and accomplishments, have the opportunity to take part in panel discussions, and connect with communities, experts and other important stakeholders during networking sessions.

Access the conference programme preview.

Please note: The conference takes place one day after the European Commission's Citizen Energy Forum, which will bring together national policymakers, businesses, cities, villages, communities, citizens, associations and practitioners and energy experts to exchange good practices and explore solutions for consumers to accelerate the energy transition while navigating the energy crisis.

Both events will provide ample opportunity for active participation and exchanges.

Registration period ended on Friday 20 October 2023, 17:00 (CEST).
