We are pleased to share that the Cross-Border Data Collection Project is progressing steadily, and we’ve officially started collecting and assessing administrative data from multiple EU Member States. This important step brings us closer to developing a unified methodology for comparable cross-border data, enhancing insights into commuting patterns in border regions.
Our Advisory Board has already welcomed four members which will be providing valuable guidance and insights into our work. However, there is still an opportunity to join! We are looking for two additional representatives from data-producing organizations to bring their expertise to the table and help shape the future of cross-border data collection in the EU.
By joining our Advisory Board, you’ll have the chance to actively contribute to the development of a methodology that will benefit regional authorities, policymakers, and cross-border communities.
The Cross-Border Data Collection Project is commissioned by DG REGIO and carried out by a consortium led by ÖIR GmbH, in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands and supported by INSEE and Statistics Denmark. For more information on the project or our methods, please reach out to our team at crossborderdata@cbs.nl.
