In preparation of the European Care Strategy , the European Commission has published a Call for evidence on access to affordable and high quality long-term care.
With rising life expectancy, more people will need long-term care (LTC), yet many cannot access it. The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed structural weaknesses in LTC, along with the need for urgent action. This initiative aims to establish a framework for policy reforms in EU countries, in line with the European Pillar of Social Rights promoting the right to affordable, high-quality LTC. It is part of an initiative addressing care in a comprehensive way, from childcare to long-term care in old age.
The deadline to give your feedback is 29 March 2022.
