SQUARE Conference Center
Mont des Arts

Belgium

The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange about the role of local authorities in the security policy domain as well as better EU regulation and funding to face main security challenges in urban public spaces. The debate will address some key themes such as innovation through smart solutions and technologies, security by design, prevention and social inclusion.

More specifically, the workshop will serve to present the Partnership, its milestones and the outputs envisaged, as well as highlight concrete initiatives and successful projects implemented in this domain. The discussion will also touch upon the multilevel dialogue cities should establish with their institutional partners and authorities (at regional, national and European levels).
