Outcomes of the 6th Partnership meeting of the Culture and Cultural Heritage Partnership

On the 31 May and 1 June, the Culture and Cultural Heritage Partnership held its 6th meeting.

Action Leaders presented the intermediate results on the Actions of the Partnership. An update on relevant international initiatives and the New European Bauhaus was given, and the process to apply for targeted and joint support discussed.

Day 1

The Coordinators of the Partnership opened the first day of the meeting by introducing the objectives and agenda of the meeting. The importance of producing results from the Actions, as well as disseminating them was stressed.

Action Leaders gave a short presentation on the intermediate results achieved by the 11 Actions. Different outputs and conclusions were shared by each, but it was clear that all of the Actions are making noticeable progress. Day 1 ended with a reminder that it is important to start working together, focus on the added value for urban policies, and value the Partnership’s contribution to pre-existing issues.

Day 2

The second day of the meeting focused on the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Initiative, how the Actions can link to it and its importance for the Partnership in enlarging its network. The discussion then moved to the process of applying for targeted and joint support and what type of support can be requested.

Next on the agenda, updates on international events and initiatives related to Culture and Cultural Heritage were given by the Coordinators, as well as a short presentation on the framework for the Urban Agenda 2021-2027.

Next steps

The Partnership will continue with the implementation of the Actions. The coming months will be instrumental for the finalisation of the results, which will be presented at the end of the year. The Partnership is also planning to submit contributions to the New European Bauhaus, as well as requests for targeted support.
