DG JUST is setting up an Expert Group on AI contracting. The call for applications https://ec.europa.eu/transparency/expert-groups-register/screen/calls-application?lang=en was launched on April 2026. Deadline for applications: 17 May 2026.
The group will function as a discussion forum, where the experts and practitioners will provide suggestions and give practical feedback and examples on the issues related to AI contracting. The group will help the Commission in developing horizontal model contract terms for AI contracting and guidance for the choice of AI contracting systems from users’ perspective.
Members of the group will be: individuals (EU citizens) appointed in a personal capacity, including academics and legal practitioners; individuals appointed to represent common interest; and organisations, including associations at EU-level, EU SMEs and start-ups.
