My name is Risto Uuk and I work at the Future of Life Institute, a nonprofit that works to reduce risks from powerful technologies. We have recently expanded our work to Europe and have just launched a grants program that may be of interest to researchers across the EU. The grant program is open to everyone and although the grant amounts are advertised in dollars, there are no geographic limitations on either applicants or host universities. 

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Vitalik Buterin Fellowships in AI Existential Safety for PhD and postdoctoral students. The Fellowships will support research that analyses the ways in which artificial intelligence could cause an existential catastrophe as well as research that serves to reduce this risk.
