"Speak your neighbour language" wins the 1st "Border-prize" contest!

The EU-funded project “Spreek je buurtaal - Sprich deine Nachbarsprache” (Speak your neighbour language) has been recently awarded with a first “Border-prize” by the Netherlands’ Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations.

This outcome lines up with the projects commitments to promote cross-border institutional cooperation and high quality neighbor-language training in the Dutch and German primary and secondary education within the Dutch-German EUREGIO border region. The project has received a budget of 565 000.90 EUR under the INTERREG V-A Germany-The Netherlands programme.

Ratmond Knops, from the State Secretary for the Interior and Kingdom Relations has spared no words to emphasise the added value of this project in offering young people the opportunity to get to know the neighbouring community and its language in an interactive and enjoyable way! In the same video, he also admitted that it was not an easy decision to select the winner project since there were several competing and worthy initiatives at the border with many people involved, including young people.

From our side, congratulations for this work! Van harte gefeliciteerd! Herzliche Glückwünsche!
