The OECD’s Observatory on Public Sector (OPSI) website has published a Case Study on b-solutions, recognizing it as an important and relevant example of public sector innovation. Giving an outline of the project – which remedies the legal and administrative obstacles that complicate cooperation in EU border regions – OPSI highlights the project’s success, giving recognition to the 90 different obstacles addressed by the project covering 27 cross-border regions.

The OECD uncovers emerging practices and help disseminate these new practices. Their recognition of b-solutions is a testament to the project’s importance and success, but beyond that, it helps the project achieve its objectives of spreading this innovative approach to cross-border obstacles and cooperation. b-solutions not only aids progress in the EU border regions but is also helps overcome incompatibilities amongst legal frameworks in contiguous territories.
