Conference on the Future of Cross-Border Cooperation: New Speaker MEP Sandro Gozi

Sandro Gozi, a Member of the European Parliament, put forward a own initiative legislative proposal to relaunch the European Cross-Border Mechanism (ECBM) that the Commission had proposed in 2018, now under the title BRIDGEU. The aim of the proposed Regulation is to address legal and administrative obstacles in a cross-border context. 

This has provided a new political impetus leading to an amended proposal for a Regulation on ‘Facilitating Cross-Border Solutions’ (FCBS) by the European Commission last December. This is now in the legislative process.  

We are thrilled to welcome MEP Sandro Gozi as one of our esteemed speakers. He will be presenting the Regulation to us during the conference.
