Stakeholder Event on the EU-U.S. TTC Joint Roadmap for Trustworthy AI and Risk Management - one page report

Adopted on December 5, 2022, at the third TTC Ministerial, the EU-U.S. TTC Joint Roadmap for Trustworthy AI and Risk Management aims to advance shared terminologies, taxonomies, and inform approaches to trustworthy AI and risk management on both sides of the Atlantic. The Roadmap suggests activities which are intended to be compatible with the respective regulatory, policy and legislative initiatives of the two sides, noting that the active engagement and participation of stakeholders throughout the whole AI community is key.

These concrete activities include:

1) shared terminologies and taxonomies

2) leadership and cooperation in international technical standards development activities and analysis and collection of tools for trustworthy AI and risk management

3) monitoring and measuring existing and emerging AI risks.

In this joint stakeholder event, the EU and U.S. representatives guided stakeholders through the Joint Roadmap and outlined the next steps for EU-U.S. cooperation. In a Q&A session with EU and U.S. experts, participants had the opportunity to pose questions on the matter.

This one-page report lists the key elements of the Roadmap presentations, as well as the core themes of the Q&A.
