We are excited to announce that we have received applications from 60 young people across 16 EU countries for the second intake of the Youth4Cooperation Cross-Border Ambassadors programme. The high number of applicants highlights the growing interest of European youth in promoting cross-border collaboration and engaging with the European Institutions to tackle cross-border challenges.

This initiative, organised by the Border Focal Point Network in collaboration with Youth4Cooperation, provides young Europeans with a unique platform to voice their ideas, share their experiences, and contribute to cross-border solutions. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to ensure that the perspectives of border regions are represented at the highest levels of European decision-making.

The programme offers participants the chance to develop essential skills through hands-on activities, including video testimonials, participation in the Beyond Borders Breakfast Debates Series, and engagement with local communities on cross-border issues. As Ambassadors, they will also be involved in regular meetings with European Commission officials and will collaborate with peers on group projects that promote cross-border cohesion.

One of the key highlights of this second intake is a personal invitation from DG REGIO, European Commission, to attend the 'Youth for Future Cooperation' event in Brussels on 15 November 2024, where Ambassadors will meet EU leaders, policymakers, and professionals working on cross-border issues. This in-person event will be a unique opportunity for participants to expand their networks, gain insight into EU policies, and contribute directly to the European Union’s Cohesion Policy.
