As it was pointed out during the press conference held on the 29th of October 2019 in the Italian -Slovenian border region, soon employers from the Italian - Slovenian border region will be able to use a bilingual form to provide their employees with all the necessary necessary information needed to file tax returns either in Italy or Slovenia.

The bilingual form , pictured below, will help frontier workers and their tax advisors to properly performs tax returns, which in their specific cases are anything but straightforward.

The form achieved its final form after some months of testing of various iterations of the draft form, which has been revised with the help of 30+ Italian and Slovenian enterprisese that agreed to test it. Before the end of 2019, the form will receive some graphic improvements and will be readily available to everybody that may want to use it.

It has to be pointed out that for the time being the form is not a formally incorporated in the regulations of neither the Italian or Slovenian tax agencies: this means that currently it has only an information value - the correct filing of tax returns remains a responsability of the taxpayer i.e. frontier worker. With time, the project partners that developed the form • (Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, Employment Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenian Regional Economic Union) will strive for its formal adoption in the two above mentioned countries.

The form will be made available on the website www.sdgz.it by the end of 2019.
