Ai is going mainstream

Today everything is Ai, i can't no more reconognize real threads because most people talks about Ai only because of the trend.. Are we idealizing this technology too much? in the end it is only about apply maths to complex problems using our information as data input ( huge synopsis :-) ), we are far from real general purpose Ai. Big data is the real thread, but people only wants to talk about science fiction and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. We love star trek !

Hi kai ! i was expecting you... so i will ask you a question.
As a software developer sometimes i need to discuss with my colleagues about implementations regard high-performance in real time simulations knowing we cannot go beyond the current technological possibilities, so we finish talking about ALU, Risc or Cisc strategies. When we arrive to this point is inevitable to think about the paradigm change that we are going to suffer when Quantum computers will become massive.
The question: Do you think current technology will reach Quantum computer performances and both of them will exist at the same time maybe competing each other, or Quantum paradigm will destroy nowadays binary logic ? I think this is the knot that can release the real Ai thread ! (in the case Quantum computer wins).

Currently i'm living in Italy, here exists what they call THE AI WHITE PAPER:

I think a common EU handbook about AI is NECESSARY for all of us. We need to prepare people to know the implications of powerful machines taking decisions after being fed with tons and tons of human data. We need to remember that good guys will use this kind of technology to create a better world, but the bad guys exist too ! and they will use all this magic to produce a new real FAKE world, fake news, fake images and bad predictions.

Sometimes I keep thinking in Mr. Nobody, have you seen this movie? Maybe this are the last years of human kindness.
