The Commission has established the Group of high-level specialists tasked with examining the future of Cohesion Policy.
The group's primary mandate is to consider strategies to optimize the effectiveness of this policy, as it seeks to address multiple challenges highlighted in the 8th Cohesion Report. These include the innovation divide, demographic change, support for a just digital and green transition, and promotion of regional recovery and growth.
A central component of the group's considerations is the pursuit of sustainable territorial development, a crucial factor for policy success and regional development.
Emphasizing territorial cooperation, the group will seek to foster new communities of common interest across borders, involving a larger number of Member States.
5th meeting is just around the corner, taking place on the 4th of July at 9:30 - 12:45 CET. Follow the discussion online!
