The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Digital is a €2b funding programme which aims to support and catalyse both public and private investments in digital connectivity infrastructures between 2021 and 2027.

This session will provide a general presentation of the programme, describing its founding principles and the goals it intends to reach.

This will then be followed by a presentation of the two first call results, with a focus on the projects selected under the following actions:
•    Backbone connectivity for Digital Global Gateways
•    5G for Smart Communities

The session will close with a short description of CEF Digital call 3, and the future of the programme.
