The Network of Heads of Managing Authorities, launched at the beginning of 2024, aims to build strong professional connections, foster trusted relationships, and facilitate the exchange of new ideas and solutions among the leaders of Managing Authorities implementing the Cohesion Policy. Following a successful first meeting held in April in Brussels, the Network is set to reconvene this October in Faro, Portugal, with a focus on the future of the Cohesion Policy, as well as on topics such as inspiring leadership, human capital, and effective processes. The first meeting of the Network of Leaders of Managing Authorities took place in Brussels on April 25 with more than 80 attendees coming together. Throughout the meeting, leaders of the Managing Authorities engaged in inspiring discussions on topics like capacity building, engaging leadership, artificial intelligence and the future of Cohesion policy. Leaders also shared stories about innovative practices being implemented by Managing Authorities across Europe and collaboratively developed topics for future discussions.
Looking ahead, the Network is already planning its next gathering on 24-25 October in Faro, Portugal, which will be hosted by the Managing Authority of the Algarve Regional Programme - ALGARVE 2030. Preparations are in full swing, and the 2nd meeting of the Network will feature more insightful speakers who will engage the leaders in inspiring discussions.
