During the first part of the day, the High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI HLEG) will hold a joint meeting with the Member States Group on Digitising European Industry and Artificial Intelligence. Member States will provide their feedback on the draft AI Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI, which will be taken in consideration by the AI HLEG. Joint working sessions will also be held between both groups on selected topics concerning AI policy (such as Skills, Research and Data & Infrastructure).
After the joint meeting with the Member States Group, the AI HLEG will continue working and focus on the discussion and integration of the feedback received so far on the draft Guidelines following the Stakeholder Consultation process. Feedback received thereafter (comments can be submitted until the 1st of February) will be discussed at the next AI HLEG meeting, before the presentation of final Guidelines to the EU Commission in March 2019.
