Study on promoting cross-border activities for social economy with a EU flag on the background

The study Promoting Cross Border Activities for Social Economy, has been recently published by the publication office of the European Commision. The study is a great initiative with the goal of inspiring and guiding social economy actors to actively participate in cross-border activities.

The main outcomes of this study are: 

  • The identification of barriers, challenges, opportunities, policy and regulatory framework that social economy actors come across when undertaking cross-border activities,
  • The selection and interview of 52 cases of relative cross-border initiatives of social economy entities,
  • The creation of a Guide on promoting cross-border activities for social economy actors interested in pursuing cross-border and transnational activities.

 

The study was carried out by Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL along with the United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (MERIT), Ashoka CEE (Ashoka), and Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI), and was funded by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), and supported by DG GROW.
