The b-solutions pilot initiative, launched in 2017, aims to address the legal and administrative obstacles hindering cross-border cooperation along the EU internal land borders. Using evidence extracted from 51 cases of border obstacles identified in the framework of the b-solutions initiative in the field of cross-border public services, this publication, by the European Commission’s DG REGIO and AEBR, outlines possible strategies to overcome them, paving the way to the realisation of public services across European borders. As such, it complements other recommendations and legislative or financial tools already developed by the European institutions.
