Sandra serves as the Director of International Relations and EU Programming in the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional administration. She also holds the position of Director of Euregio Senza Confini EGTC, which encompasses the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Carinthia (Italy-Austria). Additionally, she is the General Director of the future Province of Gorizia, overseeing activities for the first cross-border European Capital of Culture. 

Sandra graduated with the highest honors from Ca’ Foscari University. Her career spans over 30 years, marked by her extensive experience in EU programming, regional development, and cross-border cooperation. She has been instrumental in managing projects related to SME development, tourism, environment, and industrial clusters. Her notable achievements include serving as the Director of Informest – Regional Development Agency for International Cooperation and the Italy-Slovenian EGTC-GO. 

As the Director of EGTC GO for 12 years, Sandra pioneered the first Integrated Territorial Investment in cross-border cooperation and played a pivotal role in the successful candidacy of Nova Gorica-Gorizia as the European Capital of Culture for 2025. Since 2022, she has also been in charge of the Technical Secretariat, supporting the implementation of the Recovery Plan in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Administration.
